I’ve been asked quite a few times if we saw Iron Man 3 over the weekend, and we absolutely did! To sum it up, Iron Man 3 was everything we could have hoped for in a movie and I know Christian was right there with us cheering for his hero and sitting in our laps.
We went in a big group and took up almost an entire aisle in honor of Tony Stark and Christian. Some of Christian’s best friends were there: Nevan, Jett, and Rach sat together laughing and cheering for Iron Man, even through the scary parts. A very pregnant Aunt Demi with Julian Michael Watson in tow was in the audience sitting next to Uncle Sheldon. Julian was born Monday morning and I know he talked to Christian during the entire movie and got lots of tips about his new family that he was just about to be born into. And then of course the other grown ups in the group included Mom squared, Matt, Jaime, Mike, and Christian’s Mom and Dad.
We all agree that the quote at the end of Iron Man 3 summed up our thoughts about Christian and our favorite super hero perfectly:
“My armor was never a distraction or hobby it was a cocoon, and now I’m a changed man. You can take away my house, all my tricks and toys. But one thing you can’t take away “I am Iron Man”.“―Tony Stark
Of course comparing the suit to a cocoon made all of us cry. And just like Christian lost his physical life here including his house, toys, and family he still remains Christian, that will never change. We couldn’t help but feel that those words were written specifically for us. Thank you Iron Man.

That quote is absolutely perfect. I am so glad that Christian had so many members of his family together for that special night at the movies. Christian will always be Christian. Love you all!
